About us

NRTIA Germany connects Non-resident tamil community with Tamilnadu.

Considering the focus on Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils and for this department a separate Minister for Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils have been appointed by the Government.

The Tamil Nadu Non-Resident Tamils' Welfare (Amendment) Act 2022 had been passed and noticed in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette on 25.04.2022 for the Constitution of the establishment of the Tamil Nadu Non-Resident Tamils' Welfare Board for the welfare of Non-Resident Tamils' in India and Abroad.

Activities

  • Organized and hosted comprehensive sessions on job opportunities and job search strategies in Germany across various online platforms, helping individuals navigate the German job market.
  • Conducted an informative session on pursuing a Master's degree in Germany, offering valuable insights to students through the X platform.
  • Provided crucial support to students and women in Germany facing personal challenges, including family issues, domestic violence, and abuse, connecting them with relevant resources.
  • Assisted families in the repatriation process, ensuring the smooth return of remains to India during times of bereavement.
  • Facilitated the introduction and promotion of Tamil Nadu government initiatives within the NRT Tamil community, fostering closer ties with regional development programs.
  • Acted as a bridge to connect businesses and entrepreneurs with MSMEs, FameTN, and various government guidance departments, enabling greater access to resources and opportunities.
  • Advocated for the establishment of a Tamil Nadu government desk in Germany to streamline communication and support between the state and its diaspora.
  • Supported Tamil Nadu representatives during their visits to Germany, ensuring successful engagements and fostering international collaboration in key sectors.
  • Collaborated with local and international stakeholders to expand Tamil Nadu's global footprint, enhancing economic, cultural, and educational ties between Germany and Tamil Nadu.
  • Facilitated networking opportunities for Tamil entrepreneurs, encouraging cross-border partnerships and investment opportunities.

Proposals

Submitted a proposal to the Honorable Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu
requesting financial support for the establishment of a Tamil library in Cologne,
aimed at preserving and promoting Tamil culture and literature in Germany.


Presented a funding request for the Tamilex project to the Honorable Member of Parliament
, seeking support for the Hamburg Tamil department's initiatives
to enhance Tamil language education and community outreach in Germany.
